Abstract

There is abundant research that documents that the psychotherapies including the group psychotherapies are very effective in treating a broad range of patients. There is also abundant evidence that notes there is enormous variability in the clinical outcomes achieved by psychotherapists. This presentation will address the key elements that group therapist can utilize to improve their clinical effectiveness through the guidance emerging from the evidence base of the group psychotherapy literature.
